“This film tells the inspiring true story of Richard Montañez who as a Frito Lay janitor disrupted the food industry by channeling his Mexican heritage to turn Flamin’ Hot Cheetos from a snack into an iconic global pop culture phenomenon.”
I got a chance to sit down with the director, Eva Longoria, and the stars of the film, Jesse Garcia & Annie Gonzalez to discuss the movie, their hardships, and how much they could relate to Richard’s story.
“Flamin’ Hot” is available to stream on Hulu and Disney Plus on June 9.
In Season 5 of “The Crown”, the royal family are facing what may be their biggest challenge yet: proving their continued relevance in ‘90s Britain. As Diana and Charles wage a media war, cracks begin to splinter the royal foundation.
I got a chance to speak with stars Dominic West and Olivia Williams, who play Prince Charles and Camillia Parker Bowles in the series. We discuss the new season, why Charles and Diana’s marriage brought joy to the world, and more!
**This interview was taped on World Neuroendocrine Cancer Awareness Day. Please watch till the end of this interview for an important message about this day from Olivia Williams.
This week I review Focus Feature’s newest comedy, “Honk for Jesus. Save Your Soul”. The film stars Sterling K. Brown and Regina Hall. It’s a thought-provoking dark comedy that stays with you long after it’s over.
The film opens in theaters and available on Peacock September 2, 2022.
“Soul” follows Joe (Jamie Foxx) , a music teacher who has lost his passion for music and sense of purpose. But when he is transported into another realm to help someone find their spark, he discovers a new appreciation for life. I chatted with writer Mike Jones to discuss the film, what little things he appreciates about life, the value in asking people questions, and much more.
“Soul” is available to stream on Disney+ December 25.
“The Half of It” is a very interesting take on the classic “Cyrano de Bergerac”. Set in Washington state instead of France and replacing the soldiers and nobles with high school students, “The Half of It” looks like another Netflix winner.
Check out my review of the new Netflix drama and the DVD/Blu-Ray release of “Underwater”.
“The Half of It” is available on Netflix May 1.
“Underwater” is available on Blu-Ray/DVD/Digital
